Cinedigm Acquires North American Rights to The Outsider

Trace Adkins, John Foo, Sean Patrick Flanery & Danny Trejo Star in This Gritty Tale of the American West

LOS ANGELES, Calif., May 09, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cinedigm Corp (NASDAQ: CIDM) announced today that it has acquired all North American Distribution rights to THE OUTSIDER, a western starring Trace Adkins(I Can Only Imagine, Hickok),Sean Patrick Flanery(Boondock Saints),Jon Foo(“Rush Hour”) andDanny Trejo(Machete).

Directed by Timothy Woodward, Jr and written by Sean Ryan, THE OUTSIDER is an unfiltered look at the trials and tragedies that shaped the American frontier. In search of a better life, a railroad worker (Foo) unwittingly finds himself on the wrong side of a group of corrupt lawmen. As the Marshall (Adkins) attempts to control his increasingly unethical town, tragedy strikes forcing him to decide between justice and loyalty.

“We are so pleased to be working with Timothy and his team again,” said Yolanda Macias, EVP Acquisitions, Digital Sales & Studio Relations at Cinedigm. “The success of Traded and Hickok show his instincts with Westerns are spot on,” Macias continued. “Trace Adkins and Jon Foo are an incredible pairing and we can’t wait for people to see The Outsider.”

“Collaborating with Cinedigm on this picture was such a blessing because we are both so passionate about this genre,” said director Timothy Woodward, Jr.  “I am so proud of this project and everyone involved in its creation.”
